The blown up railway bridge has two tracks, and theoretically up to 20 pairs of trains can pass on it per one day, which means at least 50 thousand tons of cargo per day. That's why blowing up this bridge was strategically important.
Ukraine’s Special Forces operators along with other units were able to plant explosives in the center of both railway tracks on this bridge. This means that the russian invaders failed to organize at least some protection of the strategically important object that fell into their hands.
Thus, Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces fighters were able to dispel in every sense the popular pre-war myth that the russian army seems to be able to use rail transport to conduct offensive operations. Although, before the war, russia’s railway troops numbered 40,000 "bayonets".
