The Ex-Commander of Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia Submarine Is Now Responsible For the Missile Attacks On Ukraine

Instead of withdrawing his submarine from the dock in May 2014, the traitor transferred to serve in the Black Sea Fleet of the russian federation

The former captain of Ukraine’s Zaporizhia submarine became the figurehead of the new case of treason. According to the indictment, he surrendered his submarine without a fight, transferred to serve in the Black Sea Fleet of the russian federation and now holds the position of deputy of the 4th separate brigade of Russian submarines in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

This is stated in the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine.

According to open sources data, at the beginning of 2014 III rank captain Robert Shageev was the commander of the submarine Zaporizhzhia. Additional details about his case can be found in the following message from the Prosecutor General's Office.

The Prosecutor General's Office also claims that Shageev's treason was manifested not only by the fact that he handed over the submarine to the occupiers, but also because he refused to withdraw Zaporizhzhia submaine from the temporarily occupied Crimea in May 2014. At the same time, he joined the service of the Black Sea Fleet of the russian federation.

In May 2015 the officer became a suspect in the case of desertion.
