What is Wrong With Rumor That russian Forces Blow Up Bridges On Western Bank of Dnipro River in Kherson Region

About 10 bridges were destroyed, which caused the russians a whole lot of trouble, even if they did it themselves

On the bridgehead occupied by the russian troops on the western bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region, a massive undermining of bridges was carried out.

In particular, about 10 bridges were destroyed in the area of the settlements of Snigurivka, Mylovo, Novokairy, Tyaginka, Darivka, Myrolyubivka and Pravdyne. In addition, several crossings over the Dnipro River were destroyed, which were previously built by the russians to provide their troops with necessary supplies.

Information about part of the destroyed bridges was reported by the deputy of the Kherson Regional Council, Serhii Khlan. Information about the destruction of other bridges was made public by local Telegram channels. If you superimpose them on the current map of hostilities, the situation looks as follows:

The conducted analysis shows that blowing up only a part of these bridges can be considered logical from a military point of view. For example, the destruction of the bridge in Mylovo on the T0403 road on the northern face of the Russian bridgehead fully explains the formation of the defense line at this turn. But the blowing up of the bridge 10 km to the south in Novokairy shows that in fact, the enemy's forces should be concentrated there, while the distance to the current front line passing in the area of Dudchany is 24 km.

An undermining of bridges in the Snigurivka area across the canal on the route to Kherson, which is on the western bank of the Ingulets River, was also carried out in the rear of the russian troops. Similar "rear" bridges were also destroyed in the Kherson direction near Myrolyubivka and Pravdyne settlements.

But the most incomprehensible is the simultaneous destruction of bridges in the most remote areas of the russian bridgehead - near the settlements of Tyaginka and Darivka along the E58 highway in the section from Novaya Kakhovka to Kherson, which are also believed to have been blown up by the russian military.

The fact is that in this case the russians independently carried out what is called preparation for cutting the bridgehead. And this itself is the main goal of the attacking side, not those who are defending. The purpose of such actions for the advancing troops is to break the logistical lines of supply of the enemy group and break it up into separate groups, reducing the possibility of shifting forces inside the bridgehead.

In this situation, there can be only two explanations for what happened. The first is that it was the Armed Forces of Ukraine that destroyed not only the crossings over the Dnipro River, but also the bridges on the E58 route. By the way, the Daryivka bridge was first affected back in July.

The second option: if the bridges were destroyed by the Russians, and at the same time, then it may be a matter of deliberately cutting off the offensive paths of their troops, as well as no possibility for their support.

This could have happened due to the panic of the performers themselves, when in the rear they do not know what is happening on the front line, while the communication between the command and the troops was suppressed by the Ukrainian troops.

It should also not be ruled out that the russians still decided to leave this occupied bridgehead. At the same time, the units of the russian army, which are on the front lines, are actually fighting rearguard battles and, by decision of the command, were forcibly cut off from the main forces in order to prevent them from escaping from the front lines. That is, the Kremlin simply left them in the role of suicide bombers who should buy time for the main group to retreat.
