The successful attacks on russian oil depots carried out recently by the Ukrainian Defense Forces have already yielded results. The russian occupiers are relying less and less on military equipment at the frontline as well as more and more on infantry

Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, wrote about this on Telegram.

“Now, due to significant losses of armored vehicles, as well as logistical disruptions in the supply of fuel due to strikes on oil refineries and oil depots, the russians are focusing more efforts on infantry offensives,” he noted.

Due to logistical disruptions, the russians currently do not have enough fuel for heavy equipment. Therefore, the Russian invaders are relying on infantry assaults. They are using equipment that can be refueled with any gasoline, including civilian cars, buggies, as well as motorcycles. But most of all, infantry assaults are now being carried out.

As a reminder, on the night of January 14 and in the morning of that day, Ukrainian drones attacked several military facilities on the territory of russia. The Orgsintez plant in Kazan and the oil depot in Engels, Saratov region were under attack. After the explosions at the facilities, fires broke out.

Earlier, Defense Express reported that the Ukrainian Defense Forces had delivered a precision strike on the Bryansk Chemical Plant. The Ukrainian military emphasized that this plant is a strategic facility of the russian military-industrial complex, as it produces gunpowder and explosives for artillery ammunition.

Thanks to the long-range strike on the night of January 8, it was possible to hit a rather specific military facility of strategic importance. This was the Krystal Plant state reserve storage facility, which stores fuel for the russian Engels strategic aviation airbase. The fire could not be extinguished for several days, and on January 14, the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck again, after which the fire at the oil depot flared up with renewed force.
