According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Special Operations Forces, Ukrainian forces successfully struck the Liskinskaya oil depot near Voronezh, which is part of the Rosneft infrastructure.
"On the night of January 16, 2025, units of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in coordination with other components of the Defense Forces, successfully attacked the Liski oil depot in the Voronezh region of russia," the General Staff reported.

The Special Operations Forces confirmed that they had struck the Rosneft facility in Liski, near Voronezh. The General Staff added that at least three strike drones hit the target, igniting a large-scale fire at the site.
"As a result of the strike, a massive fire broke out at the oil depot, with several fuel tanks still burning," the SOF stated.
The oil depot stored fuel supplies used to support russian military operations against Ukraine.
russian sources attributed the explosions to a drone attack, mentioning air defense activity and debris falling in the area. Footage of a large fire at the oil depot quickly circulated online.
Dozens of firefighting units, including two fire trains, were involved in extinguishing the blaze. Units from two neighboring regions were also deployed for the operation.
