Thanks to successful Ukrainian attacks on russian military targets, russia has been forced to redeploy its air defense assets from the Far East to the European part of the country

russia has replaced some S-300 and S-400 air defense systems in the Far East with dummies, Japanese OSINT analysts concluded after analyzing satellite images and other open source data.

Their findings were shared by Andrii Kovalenko, Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

"According to available information, russia has indeed moved some air defense systems from the Far East closer to the European part of russia, namely to the port of Ust-Luga, Engels and Savasleyka airfields, and to the Moscow region," Kovalenko added.

russia previously maintained around 24 S-400 and 12 S-300 launchers in its eastern regions. Currently, their number has significantly decreased.

Due to air defense losses from Ukrainian strikes, russia is redeploying systems from the Far East and attempting to conceal this with mock-ups.
