The Black Sea Fleet of the russian federation has withdrawn 14 warships from Sevastopol Bay to Novorossiysk

This was reported by flot2017 with reference to OSINT analyst MT Anderson.

In particular, the analysis of satellite images dated by October 4 made it possible to determine that the russians have redeployed the following ships to Novorossiysk:

• six landing ships,

• Admiral Essen, Admiral Makarov frigates,

• three submarines of Project 636 Varshavyanka.

The Russians also relocated:

• Vasily Bykov patrol ship of project 2216,

• two Buyan-class corvette of project 21631.

In turn, according to OSINT analyst MT Anderson, four landing ships as well as one submarine remain in Sevastopol. Presumably, some of them are currently being repaired.

It is noted that part of the ships of the Black Sea Fleet currently also remain in distant ports in the east of Crimea - as far as possible from Ukrainian weapons. In particular, Feodosia is home to:

• another large landing ship,

• minesweepers and missile boats.

Independent observers estimate that the redeployment of so many ships of the Black Sea Fleet by the russians to the less protected port of Novorossiysk may be related to the constant threat of Ukrainian missile strikes as well as naval drone attacks to russian ships whille they are in the western part of the occupied peninsula.

As Defense Express reported, russians were thinking about relocation of their ships even further - to Occupied Abkhazia.
