The US and India plan to jointly manufacture Stryker Infantry Carrier Vehicle (ICV). This is designed to increase India's military capabilities and deter China. Once finalized, this agreement will mark the first time the Stryker wheeled armored vehicles production has been established outside of the United States.
It is currently unknown when the Americans plan to deploy the production of Stryker ICV at the facilities of Indian enterprises. But this project is part of much broader plans for military-technical cooperation between the US and India, which is unfolding now, writes the Defense One portal.

It is noted, in particular, that the US and India are currently discussing a much broader list of topics in defense cooperation. For example, potential areas of cooperation could be the joint production of jet engines and drones of various types, the organization of repair of US Navy ships at Indian shipyards.
Until this moment, in June 2023, India and the US also published a "road map" of defense cooperation, which also outlined possible projects in the field of ammunition production, intelligence and surveillance systems, underwater space control systems as well as high-speed underground communication.
