The Veres 2 electronic warfare (EW) system is designed to counter drones that drop explosive payloads. It is already actively used on the front line and has received numerous positive evaluations

The Veres 2 can serve as a foundation for building a tactical network to protect Ukrainian forces from enemy drones carrying explosive payloads against defended positions. A representative of UkrSpecConsulting made this statement during the company's product presentation at the Defense Tech Valley 2025 exhibition in Lviv.

The station was developed to protect tactical units (platoon, company, mortar battery, or individual camouflaged positions) and to provide systematic countermeasures against enemy drones such as DJI Mavic and Autel models equipped with warheads. It achieves this by electronically jamming the drones' onboard radio receivers, suppressing operator control signals, and disrupting satellite navigation systems.

The system operates across the following frequency bands: 1160–1280 MHz; 1560–1630 MHz; 2400–2500 MHz; 5160–5280 MHz; and 5725–5850 MHz. Maximum jamming output power in each band is up to 50 W.

The Veres 2 has the greatest confirmed engagement range against enemy drop-drones among domestically produced EW systems. Guaranteed suppression of DJI Mavic-type UAVs is effective up to 1.5 km, with documented cases of operation at longer ranges. These results have been confirmed by trials and assessments from relevant General Staff units, the company representative emphasized.

According to UkrSpecConsulting, Veres 2 can be integrated with other systems to strengthen unit anti-drone capabilities: "When combined with drone detection assets — such as radio-technical reconnaissance systems, radar stations, or acoustic detectors — Veres can form the basis of a defensive "wall" that enemy drop-drones cannot breach. Such system-level approaches require only a limited number of personnel for deployment, operation, and maintenance."

The suppression potential built into Veres underscores the effectiveness of this solution. For example, the system features remote on/off control to activate the station at the required moment. It also allows operation of a rotary device with a patch antenna, which provides an azimuthal beamwidth of 80–90 degrees and an elevation coverage of up to 60 degrees.

The battery provides up to three hours of continuous operation, although in combat conditions operators typically use an intermittent mode to reduce the risk of detection by enemy forces. When battery capacity falls below a set threshold, an autonomous generator from the system’s proprietary power module automatically engages.

The station weighs 20 kg including its tripod, is optimized for rapid deployment — up to five minutes from march to operational status — and requires no additional adjustments before operation.

The Veres 2 EW station has been codified and included in the GURKa procurement list of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The system can be delivered in different configurations depending on customer requirements. Contact details are available on the developer's website.
