The Armed Forces of Ukraine are actively applying Italian FH-70 155mm howitzers against russian occupiers

The Armed Forces of Ukraine in Zaporizhzhia oblast are fighting against the russian occupation army and apply the FH70 howitzer provided by Italy, "Ukrainian Military TV" reports.

These howitzers were recently spotted with the Italian Iveco Astra SM 66.40 Prime Mover truck, although previously they were only seen with Estonian MAN Kat 1 6x6 trucks.

The FH70 towed howitzers destroy the occupiers at a distance of 24km with a conventional projectile, and with a rocket-assisted projectile it hits at a distance of about 30km.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine servicemen, who are already striking the invaders with this 155-mm howitzer, note first of all two advantages of this artillery system: accuracy, as well as the presence of an engine that allows it to move at a speed of up to 20km/h.

"Accuracy, really good accuracy. And the maneuverability is not bad. You can maneuver without a truck and move to some other firing position or drive into some shelter where a truck cannot fit," notes the soldier with the call sign "Typhoon".

The pace of work is really crazy, thanks to the automated system of the loading tray, the howitzer can fire a series of three shots in 15-20 seconds. Overall, the rate of fire is 6 shots per minute at short distances, during long-term combat work these are 2 shots per minute.

In general, as noted in the video, the presence of an engine, a fast hydraulic system and a magazine with shock capsules allows you to complete the task as quickly as possible.
