The United Kingdom has announced a new £450 million military aid package for Ukraine, as part of ongoing international efforts to support the country’s defense against russia. The announcement was made during the 27th Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting in Brussels, co-chaired by UK Defence Secretary John Healey and German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius.
The aid package includes £350 million from the UK’s 2025 military support fund, as well as additional funding through the UK-led International Fund for Ukraine. Around £160 million will be directed toward the repair and maintenance of previously supplied UK military equipment, with a focus on accelerating the return of vehicles and systems to operational use. The initiative involves cooperation between British defense firms and Ukrainian industry.

The remaining funds, over £250 million, will be used to supply Ukraine with a new “close fight” military package. This includes radar systems, anti-tank mines, and a large number of drones, particularly first-person view models and those designed to carry explosives, which have been widely used in Ukraine’s current defense strategies.
This support follows broader commitments made by over 50 countries during the Contact Group meeting, with Germany also pledging significant additional aid.
