American-made components were found in the Russian Kh-101 cruise missile that was shot down by the Air Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, it was not just a separate microcircuit, but a whole American-made electronic module.
In particular, Andrii Nebytov, the head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kyiv region, yesterday published a photo with the remains of the X-101 missile, which was found in the Kyiv region.

Attention is drawn to the photo, which shows part of the missile's power supply system.
Defense Express obtained detailed images of this part, which allowed the identification of its components.
As you can see, russian cruise missiles use ready-made power moduls of DC-DC converters by the American company Vicor. This company is quite well-known on the international market and is on the list of manufacturers that supply their products under direct contracts with the Pentagon. This company is a supplier of components for final products of a number of manufacturers, including enterprises related to the aerospace sphere, too.
It should be noted that a significant part of the products of this company do not belong to the sanctioned goods and are available for sale even through AliExpress.
In any case, the finding of such components indicates a rather high dependence of the defense-industrial complex of the Russian Federation on the external supply of components. The study of components makes it possible to investigate all the chains of components entering the Russian Federation with the aim of further overlapping them.
At the same time, according to the data of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Defense Industry of the russian federation continues to maintain a fairly significant rate of production of Kh-101 cruise missiles. We are talking about an estimated figure of 180 units per year, which, of course, does not make it possible to compensate for the current costs of missiles for strikes on Ukraine, but it is a fairly significant figure in any case.
