Ukrainian special force unit Omega Wings has eliminated a russian 2S4 Tyulpan mortar with a precise FPV drone strike. The successful mission was reported on the social media of the Special Operations Center Omega of the National Guard of Ukraine. The attack was carried out using an FPV strike drone with an explosive warhead.
The post, accompanied by a video recording of the moment of destruction, briefly states: "Destruction of the enemy's 2S4 Tyulpan self-propelled mortar was carried out by FPV drones of the Omega Wings separate detachment."

The 2S4 Tyulpan is a heavy 240 mm self-propelled mortar. It is one of the most powerful artillery systems in the russian army, capable of destroying fortifications, bunkers, and other fortified positions.
Although it was designed to fire nuclear shells, the conventional ammunition of choice are the 53-F-864 high-explosive projectile (range: 9.65 km) and 3F2 extended-range round. More design details here.

The destruction of such weapons is a significant achievement, as the Tyulpan is usually used to shell positions of Ukrainian troops. Thanks to the precise work of Ukrainian drones and the coordinated actions of operators, it was possible to inflict significant losses on the russian occupiers.
This episode is another example of the effectiveness of modern tactics using FPV drones, which Ukrainian forces are increasingly using on the front lines to destroy enemy equipment and manpower.
Earlier Defense Express reported that Ukrainian forces had hit russian positions in the Vovchansk sector and destroyed two Murom-M systems.
