The Ministry of Defense of the russian federation has released a video of the use of UMPK kit, which is unified gliding and correction module (rus. Universalnyi Modul Planirovania I Korrekcii), on FAB-3000 bomb from a Su-34 frontline bomber.
It should be noted that the first use of this bomb was on June 20. The target was a hospital in the village of Lyptsi, north of Kharkiv. russians announced that work on the installation of the module at FAB-3000 had been underway in March of this year.

At the same time, the video was most likely filmed during the tests. This is evidenced by the filming of all aspects of the bomb's dropping and tracking during flight.
According to the video, the FAB-3000 bomb is delivered to the airbase without installed UMPC kit. It was installed at the airfield. It consists of a nose cone, which is associated with the so-called blunt nose of this bomb, and a structure with wings and tailplanes.
The bomb is hung under the hardpointof Su-34 aircraft that carries one such munition. One of the shots shows two detonators in the tail section, which are connected to the UMPC module by wires.
When FAB-3000 is dropped, the UMPC kit opens its wings and turns over. This method is used in all other unified gliding and correction modules. This is due to the fact that the module's "girder" covers the bomb's attachment to the aircraft.
In general, the UMPC module for FAB-3000 looks like a scaled module for the FAB-1500.
Work on it began in the summer of 2023 with the declaration of completion in September.
It should be noted that the FAB-3000 M-54 is a high-powered munition. It weighs 3,067 kg, including about 1,200 kg of explosives. Its explosion resulted in craters more than 10 meters deep and contusions at a range of hundreds of meters.
Earlier Defense Express reported that anti-drone armor plate had been created in russia to protect oil refineries and ammo dumps.
