russian occupiers announced the first combat use of extremely powerful FAB-3000 M-54 aircraft high-explosive bombs with the UMPK kit. It stands in russian for unified gliding and correction module (rus. Universalnyi Modul Planirovania I Korrekcii) that is similar to the American Joint Direct Attack Munition. This is the largest type of precision guided weaponthat have appeared in russia's arsenal.
As evidence, a video of a building being hit in the village of Lyptsi, north of Kharkiv, appeared.

This settlement is now not only a border settlement, but also a frontline one. The hospital was the target of the attack.
As the video shows, the bomb did not reach its target. russians are trying to compensate for the shortcomings of the navigation and control system of the UMVK kits by constantly increasing the caliber of the bomb.
The FAB-3000 M-54 is a 3.3-meter-long, 1-meter-diameter (including the stabilizer) ammunition with a total weight of 3,067 kg. It has about 1200 kg of explosives. So, a bomb`s miss by even a few tens of meters is less important comparing to FAB-250 or FAB-500.
It is obvious that the carrier of these FAB-3000s with UMPC kit is a Su-34 frontline bomber. The range of such a munition is also questionable, as it may be less than smaller caliber bombs have.
It should be noted that work on the UMPK kit for the FAB-3000 became known in March. Before that, the russian federation showed that production of these bombs was resumed. This became known during the visit of former russia's Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu to the 53rd Arsenal in the village of Yuganets, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast of the russian federation. It is 750 kilometers from Ukraine.
It is also known that the UMPK kits are manufactured at the Tactical Missile Corporation joint-stock company in the city of Korolyov near Moscow. It is also known that foreign machines are used in their production, in particular from China.
It should be noted that it is extremely important to expand the geography of strikes to such distances and targets with appropriate long-range weapons. Espessially in conditions where Western countries allowed to strike at military targets in russia.
Earlier Defense Express reported about rare UMZ-G minelayer on T-72 base rolled out by russian forces.
