Ukrainian forces targeted the Kremniy El facility, a key producer of microelectronics used in russian precision weapons, with reconnaissance support from the Raid Regiment

Ukrainian forces have carried out a strike on a key russian microelectronics facility as part of a broader campaign aimed at degrading the military-industrial potential of the russian federation. The target of the operation was the Kremniy El microelectronics plant located in russia's Bryansk region.

The facility was struck using Storm Shadow air-launched cruise missiles, precision weapons supplied by Western partners and integrated into Ukrainian aircraft. These missiles are designed for long-range strikes against high-value targets and are capable of penetrating hardened infrastructure.

The Kremniy El plant plays an important role in russia's defense industry, particularly in the production of electronic components used in modern weapons systems. The enterprise specializes in discrete semiconductor devices and integrated circuits, which serve as essential elements in military electronics.

Such components are often described as the "brains" and "nervous system" of modern weapons. They are used in a wide range of military platforms, including guidance and control systems for precision-guided munitions. Among the systems believed to rely on similar electronics are russia's Iskander tactical ballistic missiles.

Preliminary reports indicate that the strike successfully hit the intended target and caused significant damage to the facility's production infrastructure. However, the full extent of the destruction and its impact on the plant's operations is still being assessed.

Target acquisition and battle damage assessment were reportedly supported by aerial reconnaissance conducted by a unit of the Raid Regiment. Drone reconnaissance plays a critical role in identifying targets, guiding strike planning, and confirming the effectiveness of long-range attacks.

As Defense Express previously reported, operators of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces have struck a key russian radar system in temporarily occupied Crimea, targeting a system that plays a critical role in the peninsula's air defense network. The strike was carried out by pilots of the 9th Battalion of the 414th Brigade.
