The captured T-90S is outfitted with an anti-drone "grill," electronic countermeasures, television surveillance cameras, and a makeshift mine trawl.
Oleksandr Afanasiev, a tank crew member of the battalion, shared the video on Instagram.

Armor researcher Andriy Tarasenko explained on his Telegram channel that the most noticeable difference between the T-90S and the T-90A is the trapezoidal "Indian" explosive reactive armor (ERA) block, which replaces the ineffective Shtora searchlight.
Additionally, all the inscriptions inside the T-90S are written in English, which is another distinguishing feature.
The T-90S is an export variant of the T-90 main battle tank (MBT) and features several configuration differences compared to the base model. This version is primarily used by India and is manufactured by the russian company Uralvagonzavod.

This is not the first instance of russian export-designated tanks being deployed in the russian-Ukrainian war, as such tanks were first observed on the battlefield in 2022.
