In Boryspil district of Kyiv region, authorities recently neutralized potentially dangerous unmanned aerial vehicle. The drone, identified as the Geran-2, was equipped with a combat payload, posing a significant threat to public safety.
The incident prompted a swift response from pyrotechnicians of the Mobile Rescue Center of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. The team safely removed the object and transported it to a designated site, where it was successfully neutralized.

The Geran-2 drone or Iranian-designed Shahed-136 UAV repurposed under russian naming conventions, is widely used in modern warfare. Known for its loitering capability and cost-effectiveness, the Geran-2 drone is designed to carry explosive payloads to strike targets over long distances. With a range of up to 2,500 kilometers and a relatively low cost compared to conventional missiles, the drone has become a preferred choice for asymmetric warfare tactics.
