Ukrainian drone pilots from the Phoenix unit have successfully eliminated two high-value russian targets in Kharkiv region: the TOS-1A Solntsepyok heavy flamethrower system and a launch platform for the Molniya drones.
The strike significantly weakens russia's offensive and reconnaissance capabilities in the area. The TOS-1A Solntsepyok, a notorious weapon known for its devastating thermobaric payload, was a major threat to Ukrainian defensive positions. Its destruction not only removes a psychological weapon from the battlefield but also reduces russia's ability to carry out saturation attacks on fortified areas.

The second target, the Molniya UAV launcher, played a critical role in russia's drone warfare strategy, often used for kamikaze attacks. By neutralizing the platform, the Phoenix unit has dealt a blow to the enemy's precision strike capabilities.

As Defense Express previously reported, on the Vovchansk axis, the State Border Guard Service scored a critical victory by destroying russian TOS-1A Solntsepyok heavy flamethrower system using an FPV drone. The strike, executed with precision by the Forpost unit, marks a significant blow to russia's battlefield firepower.

Earlier, Defense Express also reported that Ukrainian defenders continue to push back russian forces in Kharkiv region, striking deep into enemy logistics and disrupting critical military infrastructure. On May 23, the State Border Guard Service released a video report highlighting the combat success of the Phoenix unit.
Among the most significant targets destroyed was russian R-330M1P Diabazol electronic warfare command post, which had been interfering with Ukrainian drone operations. Its elimination not only cleared the airspace for further drone activity but also weakened russian battlefield communications and coordination.
