Previously home to the 681st Fighter Aviation Regiment of the Air Defense Forces, the airfield now houses various russian aircraft, including:
- Multirole helicopters Mi-8 and Ka-226,
- Military transport aircraft An-72, An-26, and Il-76.
These assets are reportedly used to transport cargo and military personnel.

Despite heightened security measures and strict confidentiality protocols, ATESH agents managed to complete their mission undetected. The group reported that russia's ongoing shortage of qualified personnel has resulted in diminishing control over even high-priority sites.
Recently, ATESH members also conducted reconnaissance near Novofedorivka in occupied Crimea. The presence of special equipment and construction work was recorded, suggesting that russian occupiers were attempting to build protective structures for their aircraft.
