Ukrainian forces have destroyed russian 2S19 Msta-S 152 mm self-propelled howitzer in russia's Sudzhansky district of Kursk region, according to the 68th Brigade.
The brigade released footage showing the destruction of the artillery system. The video demonstrates how Ukrainian reconnaissance and strike-drone operators tracked russian howitzer after its initial engagement and prevented it from escaping.

According to the brigade, russian Msta-S system was first hit by an FPV drone. After the initial strike, the russian crew attempted to save the self-propelled howitzer by moving it into a partially destroyed building, apparently hoping to conceal it from further attacks.
However, Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance continued to monitor the vehicle's movements. This allowed the Ukrainian forces to maintain situational awareness and track the artillery system despite the crew's attempt to take cover.
The howitzer was subsequently subjected to a second strike. The follow-up attack destroyed the system, with footage showing the vehicle engulfed in flames after the successful engagement.
The operation involved the brigade's artillery reconnaissance battery, which detected and tracked russian artillery system, while the Shershni Dovbusha Battalion carried out the strikes.
The 2S19 Msta-S is a 152 mm self-propelled howitzer designed to provide long-range artillery support to russian ground forces. Its destruction therefore removes another artillery asset capable of striking Ukrainian positions from relatively distant firing positions.
