Operators from the 422nd Regiment and the A Center reportedly eliminated russian electronic warfare system designed to disrupt Starlink communications

Ukraine's military has reportedly destroyed a newly deployed russian electronic warfare system designed to disrupt Starlink satellite communications, removing a key obstacle to long-range drone operations behind enemy lines.

The strike was carried out by operators from the 422nd Regiment in cooperation with Ukraine's A Special Operations Center. Footage of the operation was released on June 15 by the regiment.

According to the unit, russian forces had been using the system to interfere with Starlink terminals relied upon by Ukrainian drone operators. The complex was intended to disrupt communications with medium-range strike drones, potentially causing operators to lose control or data links during missions.

Electronic warfare has become an increasingly important component of the battlefield, as both Ukraine and russia seek to gain an advantage in the growing drone war.

Systems capable of disrupting satellite communications can significantly reduce the effectiveness of precision strikes against command posts, logistics hubs, and military infrastructure.
