Ukrainian Forces Destroy 60 Tons of Oil in Krasnodar Krai: Satellite Images Reveal Damage to Albashneft Depot

On February 5, Ukrainian strike forces successfully targeted an oil storage facility in russia’s Krasnodar Krai, completely burning down one of nine large storage tanks. To reach the target, Ukrainian drones or missiles had to fly 100 km over occupied territory

The attack resulted in the loss of 60 tons of oil stored at the Albashneft oil depot. Satellite images published by Radio Liberty confirm the aftermath, showing one storage tank completely destroyed and another damaged. The depot, located on the northwestern outskirts of Novominskoye village, suffered significant losses due to the strike by Ukrainian forces.

Before-and-after satellite images reveal the extent of the destruction. The depot initially had 11 storage tanks—nine larger ones and two smaller ones. In the post-strike image, one of the large tanks is entirely gone, replaced by a blackened void, while a nearby tank appears scorched on one side. The exact timestamps of the images were not disclosed.

According to DeepState’s military operations map, the Ukrainian strike reached a location nearly 300 km from the front line. The operation required a drone or missile to penetrate deep into russian-occupied territory, bypassing russian air defenses.

Earlier reports indicated that a large fire broke out at the Albashneft oil depot following the attack, with local residents sharing footage of the blaze on social media.
