Operators of the Rarog 427th Unmanned Systems Regiment destroyed five enemy tanks and the Grad launcher

Ukrainian drone operators from the Rarog 427th Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment have successfully destroyed five russian tanks and one multiple launch rocket system in Donetsk region. The precise strikes disrupted russian mechanized assault and halted the enemy's advance, according to a report published by the Unmanned Systems branch.

The operation was conducted during an active russian offensive attempt, in which armored vehicles were deployed to support infantry groups. Drone footage released by Ukrainian forces shows multiple armored targets being struck in rapid succession. Each hit appeared to disable or destroy a tank, leaving russian assault units without critical cover.

As stated in the official message, Ukrainian defenders "stopped the enemy's assault actions by hitting the tanks, depriving infantry groups of cover and preventing further advance". The ability to neutralize several armored vehicles in a short time underscored both the precision and coordination of the Rarog Regiment's drone teams.

Beyond targeting tanks, aerial reconnaissance played a key role in detecting russian BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher as it was firing at Ukrainian positions. The drone operators swiftly relayed coordinates, enabling a strike that destroyed the launcher mid-action. The interrupted rocket salvo prevented further damage to Ukrainian defensive positions.

The destruction of the Grad system marked a tactical success that not only removed an immediate threat but also disrupted russian artillery coordination in the sector. Each such strike, Ukrainian forces note, helps degrade the enemy's offensive potential and contributes to stabilizing the front.

The Rarog Regiment continues to demonstrate how systematic use of unmanned systems can shift the balance on the battlefield. Precision-guided drone operations now act as a force multiplier, allowing Ukrainian units to engage high-value targets with minimal risk to personnel.

As Defense Express previously reported, Ukrainian special operators have carried out a unique strike in temporarily occupied Crimea, destroying one of the most advanced elements of russia's air defense. According to Pavlo Yelizarov, founder of the Lasar's Group unit of the National Guard, the operation was conducted jointly with the 73rd Maritime Center for Special Operations.

During the mission, Ukrainian forces successfully eliminated a complex of three russian Nebo-M radar systems, which together were valued at 100 million dollars.
