Video of a night attack on Morozovsk air base has appeared online

On the night of August 3, Ukrainian drones attacked Morozovsk air base in Rostov Oblast in russia. This was reported by various Telegram channels.

According to local residents, explosions caused a heavy fire started and detonation was heard as well. Eyewitnesses report that an ammunition depot or fuel tanks were on fire.

According to ASTRA russian Telegarm channel, citing local residents, the Atlas plant, which belongs to the Federal Agency for State Reserves in the Southern Federal District, was probably hit.

This institution specializes in the storage of petroleum products and provides russian troops with them.

At the same time, the Governor of the Rostov Oblast, Vasily Golubev, said that the drones hit warehouse facilities.

"As a result of the massive UAV attack, a number of storage facilities in Kamensky and Morozovsky districts were damaged. Emergency services are extinguishing the fire. Information about the injured is being clarified," Golubev reported.

In its turn, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also confirmed the hit of the air base. There were hits on ammunition depots where guided bombs were stored.

"Information on the destruction of enemy air defense and aviation equipment is being clarified. The task was carried out by the forces and means of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine in cooperation with the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the statement reads.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Defense Forces attacked a number of oil depots, fuel and lubricant storage facilities of russian occupiers in Belgorod, Kursk, and Rostov Oblasts. At least two oil tanks are known to have been hit and caught fire.

Earlier Defense Express reported that the Defenders of Ukraine had destroyed russian RBU-6000 rocket launcher on T-72 tank chassis.
