On the night of November 4, explosions were reported in several regions of russia, including Lipetsk, Kstovo in the Nizhny Novgorod region, and Sterlitamak in Bashkortostan

This was reported by ASTRA and Exilenova+ Telegram channels. Oil refinery and petrochemical plant were attacked, and the aftermath is being clarified.

In the city of Kstovo in the Nizhny Novgorod region, preliminary reports indicate that either the Lukoil oil refinery or the SIBUR-Kstovo petrochemical plant, which are located next to each other, were hit. A major fire was reported after the explosions.

Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintezalso known as Kstovo Refinery is one of the largest and oldest russian oil refineries. Its oil refining capacity is about 17 million tons per year. The SIBUR-Kstovo petrochemical plant produces ethylene, propylene, benzene, and a number of hydrocarbon fractions. According to unofficial data, the company also manufactures components for explosives.

An explosion occurred in one of the workshops of a petrochemical plant in Sterlitamak, Bashkortostan. This information was confirmed by the mayor of the city. After several explosions, smoke was seen above the plant. The JSC Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant is part of the Roshim holding. It produces synthetic rubbers, phenolic antioxidants, high-octane fuel additives, and aviation gasoline.

In the Volgograd and Kursk regions, drones attacked two substations. The strikes caused power outages in the Rylsk, Glushkovsk, and Korenevsk districts of the Kursk region. Explosions were also reported in Lipetsk, and details about the target of the attack are being clarified.

According to the russian Ministry of Defense, 85 Ukrainian drones were destroyed over russian territory overnight.

"40 over the territory of the Voronezh region, 20 over the territory of the Nizhny Novgorod region, 10 over the territory of the Belgorod region, six over the territory of the Kursk region, four over the territory of the Lipetsk region, two over the territory of the Volgograd region, two over the territory of the Republic of Bashkortostan, one over the territory of the Saratov region," the statement reads.
