Ukrainian National Guard's Lasar's Group operators destroyed russian BM-30 Smerch multiple launch rocket system and its transporter-loader vehicle approximately 60 km from the front line.
According to the Lasar's Group, russian system had been used to strike targets in Ukraine's Kherson and Mykolaiv regions. The destruction of both vehicles deprives russian forces of a long-range rocket artillery system and the vehicle used to replenish its ammunition.

The operation began with an analysis of russian firing activity. Ukrainian reconnaissance personnel used the findings to identify an area from which the system could have been operating.
Aerial reconnaissance teams then joined the search, using reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles to locate the equipment. They eventually found the Smerch launcher and its transporter-loader vehicle approximately 60 km from the line of contact.
Both vehicles were concealed in a sheltered position. The transporter-loader vehicle was responsible for supplying ammunition to the BM-30 Smerch launcher, supporting its ability to conduct repeated rocket strikes.
After locating the targets, the Lasar's Group deployed its strike-drone crews to attack the equipment. The unit said its bomber drones carried out several strikes against the vehicles.
According to the Lasar's Group, both the BM-30 Smerch multiple launch rocket system and the transporter-loader vehicle were destroyed in the operation.
The BM-30 Smerch is a heavy multiple launch rocket system used by russian forces to deliver rocket strikes against targets at considerable distances. Its destruction, together with the vehicle responsible for supplying its ammunition, eliminates both the launcher and its associated resupply asset from the battlefield.
