Ukrainian tactical aviation pilot with the callsign West has destroyed russian Geran-4 jet-powered unmanned aerial vehicle during a recent russian attack on Ukraine's western direction, according to the Ukrainian Air Force's West Air Command.
The command published video footage of the aerial interception on its official Facebook page, showing the moment the pilot engaged russian drone in flight.

According to the report, West serves with Ukrainian tactical aviation brigade. The footage documents the pilot striking russian Geran-4 drone while it was airborne.
The Geran-4 is part of russia's Geran family of attack drones. Unlike propeller-driven variants, Geran-4 drone uses a jet propulsion system, allowing it to fly at higher speeds and potentially complicating interception by air defense units.
As Defense Express previously reported, about 100 Ukrainian companies have joined Ukraine's experimental private air defense project, with around 50 groups established and more than 60 aerial targets destroyed.
