Russian disinformation campaign targets Ukraine in the Middle East

Russia is conducting a disinformation campaign against Ukraine in the Middle East, using the recent Hamas terrorist attack on Israel as a pretext for a large-scale provocation.

The Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has reported that the Main Intelligence Directorate of russia has already transferred captured weapons manufactured in the United States and European countries to Hamas terrorists. According to the russian plan, the next step is to make false accusations against Ukrainian soldiers of regularly selling Western weapons to terrorists.

These fakes are to be used as the basis for a series of “exposing articles” and “investigations” in Western media as part of the Kremlin’s disinformation campaign. To make the accusations more convincing, russian special services intend to use the relevant comments of a Ukrainian border guard traitor, Senior Lieutenant Ruslan Syrovyi, who recently fled to Moscow.

This provocation by the enemy is aimed at discrediting the Armed Forces of Ukraine and completely stopping military assistance to the state from Western partners.

The russian disinformation campaign is a serious threat to Ukraine and its international partners. It is important to be aware of the russian tactics and to be critical of the information that we consume.
