Ukraine has carried out a high-impact strike on a key russian oil depot in the Rostov region, disrupting fuel supplies to russian forces in occupied parts of eastern Ukraine

In a coordinated nighttime operation on June 23, Ukrainian forces struck the Atlas oil depot in russia’s Rostov region, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The operation, carried out by Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces in cooperation with Rocket Forces and Artillery, targeted a critical logistics hub used to supply fuel and lubricants to russian troops operating in the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

“The strike successfully hit the intended target, and a fire was observed at the site,” the General Staff reported. Damage assessment is ongoing.

The attack is part of a broader campaign aimed at degrading russia’s offensive capabilities and logistical chains.

“The Defense Forces continue to take all necessary steps to undermine the military and economic potential of the russian federation and to force it to end its armed aggression against Ukraine,” the statement added.
