The National Association Ukrainian Defense Industries (NAUDI) signed an important memorandum of cooperation with PATROMIL Romanian defense industry association at Eurosatory 2024 international exhibition that took place in Paris from June 17 to 21.
According to NAUDI, it "opens a new stage in the cooperation between Ukrainian and Romanian defense companies" as well as allows experience exchange in technologies and resources.

"Together with our Romanian colleagues, we plan to establish more projects to maintain equipment and produce ammunition for the Defense Forces of Ukraine," the statement reads.
It should be noted that NAUDI unites about fifty Ukrainian private defense companies, including Ukrainian Armor and Ukrspecsystems, while PATROMIL unites the interests of more than 200 Romanian defense companies.

It is also worth noting that Ukraine is quite actively receiving Romanian weapons, including APR-40 MLRS, TAB-71 armored personnel carriers, 122-mm and 152-mm ammunition, grenade launchers, machine guns, and much more. This was officially announced in May 2024. Although Bucharest has announced the supply of weapons in the spring of 2022. In addition, Romania provided Ukraine with Patriot air defense system that was almost impossible.
Romania is also one of the centers of ammunition production, and is actively developing its own capacities. It is resuming the production of gunpowder and explosives. It is worth noting that in February 2023, Romarm Romanian state-owned defense company began cooperation with Korean Hanwha conglomerate.
After all, Romania is extremely active in involving defense giants in the development of its own defense industry. At the same time, defense giants are actively entering the country. For example, at the beginning of the year, Rheinmetall acquired Romanian Automecanica Mediaş, which is directly related to the need to repair and maintain Western military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It is known that Raytheon, together with Romanian Electromecanica, will produce the Stunner anti-aircraft missiles for the David's Sling SAM system. It is integrated into the new Patriot PAAC-4 version.
So, these processes make it possible to create common Western defense industry, where Ukraine should be a part of.
Earlier Defense Express reported that Ukrainian Forces were testing 2-CT Hawkeye experimental lightweight howitzer on frontlines.
