Ukraine continues to demonstrate its growing prowess in missile technology, with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announcing successful tests of domestically produced Ruta missile. The statement came during the presentation of the Boris Paton National Award, where Volodymyr Zelenskyy highlighted the transformative evolution of Ukrainian defense capabilities.
“Ukrainian missiles and drones, once the stuff of science fiction, are now a reality,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

Among the developments, the Palyanytsia missile has entered mass production, and the Peklo drone-missile has completed its first combat applications. Ukrainian forces have already received an initial batch of the Peklo systems, demonstrating Ukraine’s focus on quickly transitioning advanced prototypes into operational assets.
The Ruta missile, currently undergoing tests, is gaining attention for its affordability, high payload capacity, and speed, making it a versatile and cost-effective addition to Ukraine’s arsenal. It was recently exhibited at Eurosatory 2024 defense exhibition, bearing the insignia of the Ukrainian Air Force, signaling its intended role in bolstering national security.
