Ukraine`s Forces CinC Syrskii says that russian leadership ordered to advance on Chasiv Yar and occupy it by putin's sacred date

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskii, reported about russian occupiers` plans on his Facebook page.

"The enemy is concentrating its efforts to break through our defenses to the west of Bakhmut, access the Siverskyi Donets-Donbas canal, seize Chasiv Yar, and create conditions for further advancement to Kramatorsk agglomeration," Syrskii stated.

However, according to the Commander-in-Chief, russian plans are hampered by the heroic defense of Ukrainian brigades, that have literally "bitten into the ground", holding back occupiers` daily attacks. Using their numerical superiority and various motivational factors, including executions, separate groups of russian infantry reached the Novyi neighborhood, but were destroyed by FPV-drones and artillery fire.

"At the same time, the threat remains relevant, given that top russian military leadership has set a task for its troops to capture Chasiv Yar by May 9," the statement reads.

Syrskii noted that some measures were taken to significantly strengthen Ukrainian troops in this area with ammunition, drones, and electronic warfare equipment in order to adequately respond to occupiers` actions.

He also drew a conclusion of his two-day work at the frontline. This includes the need to improve the quality of training, including the moral and psychological component, increase the number of high-tech unmanned systems for various purposes with trained operators, and improve the quality of asymmetric actions to reduce russian combat potential.

"We continue to take organizational measures with a focus on improving management efficiency, eliminating duplication, and directing the released resources to support combat units. The main goal of these measures is to increase the combat capability of our troops, save the lives of our warriors, disrupt enemy's plans, and ensure the training of reserves," Syrskii concluded.

Earlier Defense Express reported about three new variations of the ShaBlya combat module that had been deployed to high-intensity zones.
