“Victory on the ground is forged in the sky! With this slogan, I addressed NATO Air Force commanders a year ago, calling on my colleagues to create a strong aviation coalition. We discussed a closed sky over Ukraine and the need to strengthen Ukrainian air defense with partners even before the full-scale invasion, as everyone understood how important it was to keep the sky clear. Therefore, we carried out many preparatory measures to withstand the blow and give a worthy response to the enemy’s air attack,” Mykola Oleshchuk wrote.
