Iran strengthens russia’s military arsenal with close-range ballistic missiles, enhancing front-line strike capabilities

Iran has recently delivered the Fath-360 close range ballistic missiles to russia. First publicly displayed in 2020, Iranian Fath-360 (also known as the BM-120) missiles can deliver a 150 kg warhead to a range of 120 km with a claimed accuracy of less than 30 metres. It can be deployed on a variety of road-mobile launchers including one capable of launching up to six missiles, the UK Defense Intelligence reports.

To date, Iranian military aid to russia’s campaign in Ukraine has included the supply of hundreds of one-way attack (OWA) unmanned aerial vehicles, artillery munitions and extensive support to russian OWA UAV domestic production. The supply of ballistic missiles represents a further deepening of Iran’s and russia's military relationship.
