On August 22, 2024, Ukrainian strike targeted Marinovka Air Base in russia’s Volgograd region, inflicting extensive damage to critical infrastructure and military assets, according to the UK Defense Intelligence.
The attack led to the destruction of four aircraft shelters, significant damage to three additional shelters, the obliteration of a radome, the demolition of several support buildings and the complete devastation of open storage area facilities.
