The russian occupation army is armed with a new model of a small cruise missile, with which the enemy has already struck the territory of Ukraine. In particular, on August 7, one of the monitoring channels (t.me/war_monitor) published information about the flight of a the Banderol-type cruise missile to Mykolaiv from the south.
Later, the Telegram channel t.me/war_home published an image of the downed missile, clarifying that it was another, still unknown cruise missile, which in appearance can be compared to the British-French Storm Shadow cruise missile, but conceptually – to the Ukrainian Peklo missile.

Recall that the Banderol cruise missile is also a new type of enemy weapons, which first became publicly known in the spring of this year and which was initially considered a drone.
Later, it became known that this name actually hides a S8000 type cruise missile, which the russians themselves "lit up" at the Kapustin Yar training ground and which is visually similar to the American AGM-158C LRASM (Long Range Anti-Ship Missile). In the case of the russian Banderol missile, we are talking about a relatively cheap cruise missile with a range of up to 500 km.
The Banderol or S8000 cruise missile is equipped with a Chinese turbojet engine of the SW800Pro-A95 type, as well as has a number of components of Western production too. The ОФБЧ-150 high-explosive fragmentation warhead has a mass of 114.3 kg.
At the same time, given that the new mysterious russian cruise missile is conceptually similar to the Ukrainian Peklo missile, it is worth mentioning this type of weapon. The Peklo was first introduced at the end of 2024, and in this case it is a small cruise missile, although it is called a "drone missile".
It is known that the Peklo has a range of up to 700 km as well as can reach speeds of up to 700 km/h. The probable length of the missile is up to 2 meters, the warhead is over 50 kg. It is known that the Peklo missile is equipped with a small turbojet engine.
As Defense Express reported, the first video confirming and the result of the use of the Peklo missile against the russian occupiers appeared on the Internet in June of this year.
