Paranoia and fear of russian occupiers in Kherson region lead to new acts of terror against the local population

A climate of escalating fear and paranoia among russian occupiers in the Kherson region has led to a surge of repressive measures directed at the local population, according to the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine reports a significant increase in nighttime raids and intrusive searches conducted in occupied Kherson communities. These operations, characterized by excessive force and brutality, appear aimed at identifying and suppressing any perceived pro-Ukrainian sentiment among residents.

Beyond mere property searches, these raids often culminate in arbitrary arrests and detentions. Individuals are reportedly taken for interrogation to undisclosed locations, with seemingly trivial items – a Ukrainian book, blue and yellow decorations – serving as flimsy pretexts for such actions.
