​The Netherlands Provides €350 Million Aid Package to Ukraine, Including Ammunition for F-16 Aircraft

The new aid package will include ammunition for F-16s as well as reconnaissance drones

Dutch Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren has recently announced new military aid package for Ukraine.

She clarified that her country will purchase ammunition for F-16 aircraft, which Ukraine is to receive this year.

It is planned to allocate 150 million euros for ammunition for these fighter jets. The projectiles will be purchased directly from production.

The Netherlands has also signed a contract for production of new reconnaissance drones worth about 200 million euros with partner countries.

Also on Wednesday, March 20, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a meeting with Dutch Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren. They discussed strengthening air defense and supplying of Ukrainian army.

The Dutch Minister of Defense also visited the Ukrainian frontline city of Dnipro, the training of the Ukrainian militaries, as well as a military maintenance facility.

It is known that on March 1, the Netherlands provided Ukraine with new military aid package.

At the same time, President Zelenskyy and the prime minister of the Netherlands signed a bilateral security agreement between the two countries. The document envisages providing Ukraine with 2 billion euros, as well as assistance in the field of air defense, artillery, maritime and long-range assets.

Earlier Defense Express reported that according to Ramstein-20 Ukraine would receive SAM missiles as well as F-16 aircraft would arrive on schedule.
