On August 6, 2024, special forces from the Artan unit and the Marine Center of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine executed an operation in the northern part of the Black Sea.
Under the cover of night, a landing group of special forces arrived at the Tendra Spit, where they destroyed enemy armored equipment, including the MT-LB vehicle, electronic warfare system, and russian fortifications. During the battle, the russian forces suffered personnel losses, with the exact number still being determined.

After successfully completing their mission, including its classified components, the military intelligence operatives withdrew without any casualties.
This operation is not the first successful mission by the special forces on temporarily occupied Tendra Spit. These actions are part of a broader plan by the Ukrainian forces, which is currently ongoing.
The Tendra Spit is a narrow island approximately 65 km long and up to 1.8 km wide, located in the northern part of the Black Sea near Ukrainian Crimea.
