According to the Command of Special Operations Forces of Ukraine, operators of the 3rd Separate Special Purpose Regiment discovered russian Buk SAM system during conducting reconnaissance in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
After detecting the threat, the Defenders of Ukraine used the M142 Himars MLRS as well as precision-guided missiles to destroy the target.

The Buk is a family of self-propelled, medium-range surface-to-air missile systems developed by the Soviet Union, and designed to counter cruise missiles, smart bombs, fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft, and unmanned aerial vehicles.
This system fires 9M38 missiles with 70 kg of high-explosive fragmentation warhead. It can take down targets up to 40 km away from the launcher, at altitudes up to 25 km.
Earlier Defense Express reported that Ukraine's upgrated Neptune missile had hit Konstantin Olshansky landing ship.
