Aerial reconnaissance unit destroys two 2C9 Nona-S self-propelled and air-droppable 120 mm mortars in Zaporizhzhia sector

Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance unit called LUFTWAFFE detected russian occupiers in Zaporizhzhia sector and destroyed them using an American GLSDB weapon.

The video of the hit was posted on Facebook by the unit's commander Mykola Kolesnyk.

He noted that the range was almost 13 kilometrs. They had to be destroyed because russian self-propelled mortars planned to fire at the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

Ukrainians outpaced russians, neutralizing the threat with an accurate shot. One self-propelled mortar exploded with detonation, the other one simply burned down.

The 2s9 Nona-S self-propelled and air-droppable mortar is used on the battlefield for fire support of airborne troops. The 2S9 utilizes a 120 mm 2A51 mortar with a 1.8-meter-long barrel.

Earlier Defense Express reported Ukrainian soldiers had destroyed russian SuperCam and Lancet drones, hit two T-80 tanks, and nore in the Avdiivka direction.
