The AFU StratCom officially announced that as a result of the strike on the airfield in Berdyansk (Zaporizhzhia region), the headquarters and fuel depot were successfully destroyed.

Furthermore, the russians have already showcased the remnants of the missile employed in the attack. The photo captures specific components belonging to the Storm Shadow cruise missile, produced by MDBA. Naturally, the russians claim that all the missiles were shot down, and the smoke clouds and explosions heard by the city residents are the result of the work of the air defense systems.

Previously, the Berdyansk City Military Administration has reported 11 explosions, documented fires and detonations within the temporarily occupied territory of the Berdyansk airport.

Furthermore, a video appeared on the network showing fire specifically in the vicinity of the airport. Based on geolocation analysis, it appears that the footage was captured from a distance of approximately 4.5 km away from the targeted strike area.

According to satellite imagery, the russians have established a base for attack helicopters at the Berdyansk airport.

In particular, back in January-February 2023, the airfield was surrounded by rows of fortifications and prepared for circular defense, indicating the occupiers’ long-term plans to utilize this airbase. Images from January 27 captured at least 8 helicopters and one object resembling the Forpost unmanned aerial vehicle.
