The images also reveal that the fire continues near the Tikhoretsk military airfield, which is located close to the warehouses. These warehouses are marked on public maps as military unit No. 57229-41 and are part of the material and technical support center of russia's Southern Military District.

Research by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington identifies this facility as the 719th artillery ammunition base. In an October 2023 report, analysts confirmed that the White House had acknowledged this base as a key storage site for North Korean ammunition.

As reported by Defense Express, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the strike on the Tikhoretsk arsenal, where over 2,000 tons of ammunition, including North Korean munitions, were stored. The report emphasizes that this arsenal is one of the top three supply bases for russian forces.
