On Tuesday, August 27, russian terrorists launched another combined attack using Kh-47M2 Kinzhal, Kh-101, Iskander missiles as well as Shahed-type suicide drones

After the largest attack of the entire time of the russia-Ukraine war, the russians tried to attack Ukraine again the very next night on August 26, 2024. On the night from Monday to Tuesday, the russian federation launched a combined attack using long-range drones, cruise missiles, ballistic missiles as well as "hypersonic" missiles.

According to the report of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy launched 3 Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles, one ballistic missile and one cruise missile launched by the Iskander mobile short-range ballistic missile system, as well as five Kh-101 cruise missiles. Shahed kamikaze drones, of which the enemy launched 81 units, became the main means of long-range strike in terms of quantity.

The Defense Forces of Ukraine managed to shoot down all five X-101 cruise missiles as well as 60 Shahed-type UAVs, which is 74% of the total number of attack drones used by the russians on Tuesday. It should be noted that this is not the final number of neutralized enemy drones. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that another 10 drones were "locationally lost" and, most likely, simply fell down. Another russian kamikaze drone flew to Belarus, and about 10 more are still flying in the airspace of Ukraine.

Thus, the current indicator of destroyed UAVs of the Shahed type drones is not yet final, but in the end it may be better than yesterday's result. We will remind that on Sunday, August 26, out of 109 Russian attack drones, 99 units were destroyed, that is, 90.8%.

It should be noted that the russian federation, during the previous massive attack on Sunday, August 26, also used a rather unusual tactic with extremely long routes of its drones, which simply circled Ukraine with the obvious purpose of distracting the means of air defense. In particular, due to this, the alarm in some central regions of Ukraine lasted 13 to 14 hours.
