According to russian propagandists, russia's Raduga Design Bureau continues to work on Izdeliye 720 long-range missile. It supposedly "embodies the best practices of the design school".
russians do not provide any details about this missile, but the fact that they reported working on Izdeliye 720 attracts attention. russians have previously announced this missile, which still remains a secret.

For the first time, russian occupiers announced work on Izdeliye 720 in February 2023. This was during the visit of the Deputy Chairman of theSecurity Council of the russian federation Dmitry Medvedev to Raduga Design Bureau. At the same time, occupiers showed the probable appearance of this cruise missile. However, these were all the details about Izdeliye 720 (Product 720) at that time. The main focus was on the announcement of plans to increase production of Kh-101 cruise missiles.
In October 2023, columnist Piotr Butowski made his assumptions about likely characteristics of the Izdeliye 720 missile. He stated that Izdeliye 720 is similar to the Kh-69 cruise missile in terms of its characteristics. However, it has more compact dimensions: the launch weight is 450 kilograms, the fuselage length and wingspan are 3.4 meters and 2 meters, respectively.
At the same time, he stated that the expected functionality of Izdeliye 720 should be similar to the LMUR air-to-surface missile. Izdeliye 720 allegedly has a radar homing head, and its design features allegedly allow it to be used for launching both from aircraft and ground launchers.
In addition, it is worth mentioning Kh-65 missile, based on Kh-55 one.
Since russians pursued the goal of creating a cruise missile not only for heavy bombers, but also for tactical aircraft, this set the appropriate design characteristics. It has launch weight of 1,250 kg with a warhead weight of 410 kg, fuselage length is 6 meters, launch range is up to 600 km at a maximum speed of up to 840 km/h. This gives some grounds to assume that Kh-65 missile could have received its "reincarnation" in Izdeliye 720.
Earlier Defense Express reported that russia had used almost everything including Zircon and Kinzhal missiles to strike Ukraine.
