On July 16, russian Tu-95MS air bombers fired six cruising "precision" missiles Kh-101 evaluated at 78 million USD in total. The details regarding the missile strike were published by a local authority, confirmed by the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
According to Forbes, one Kh-101 missile is worth $13 million, the New Voice of Ukraine reports. Four out of the six launched missiles were neutralized by Ukraine’s air defense units, and two others hit an agricultural facility in Central Ukraine.

Defense Express notes, that even subsonic missiles are pretty difficult to intercept, especially with the 40-years old (in average) equipment, which is operated by the Ukrainian air defense forces.
A cruise missile is a low-altitude and barely detectable target, thus the fact most of them got intercepted nevertheless, says a lot about the skill of Ukrainian units, that have been hunting for russian missiles for almost five months already.
Defense Express also earlier covered what’s inside these russian Kh-101 precision missiles: it turns out the "advanced" cruise missiles are guided by 1960s navigation systems, while some of the other russian modern equipment is full of imported Western electronics.
