The Ukrainian military showed another footage of the successful use of a ground robotic platform on the battlefield

The UA_REG unit of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted a video on social media showing the use of the Lut (Ukrainian for "Wrath") combat drone against the russian occupation forces in the Kursk region. This is not just an episode where a combat robot simply fires at enemy positions, but a planned attack where a number of different weapons was used.

According to the unit, the result of this combined attack was the destruction of part of the enemy forces, while the rest of russian occupiers fled their positions. UA_REG notes that Lut has high resilience, which helped it withstood hits of FPV drones and rocket-propelled grenade. So, it was able to complete its task and return for repairs.

The video also shows an episode where the drone pass through anti-tank mines scattered on the road. This is not the first time that the Ukrainian military has noted the resilience of robotic systems on the battlefield. In particular, earlier, the Honor Company of the 1st Separate Mechanized Battalion "Da Vinci Wolves" named after Dmytro Kotsiubailo, also known as the Da Vinci Wolves Battalion of the 59th Motorized Brigade told how their Vepr ground robotic platform worked in conditions when russians tried to destroy it as many as 16 times, using DJI Mavic drones.

As for the video with the Lut drone, it shows footage from the platform's camera. We can see the operator firing at enemy positions. The entire attack is coordinated by a reconnaissance drone. OSINT specialists from the Cyberboroshno Telegram channel have identified the location of this attack. It became known that this battle took place in the village of Volfino in the Glushkovsky district of the Kursk region near the border with Ukraine.

It should be noted that russian propagandists have recently complained that the Defense Forces of Ukraine are increasing the number of ground robotic platforms. In particular, russians say that such platforms are actively being used in Kharkiv sector.

russians point out that such weapons are really hard to destroy and that they are resistant to electronic warfare. According to russians, the robots are used for logistical purposes, for evacuation of the wounded, for reconnaissance, mine laying and demining, and during assaults as well.

But it should not ignored the fact that russians are also working on their own robotic platforms and are considering various options for their use, including solutions such as installing electronic warfare systems to counter FPV drones.

For instance, in June, Ratel S developer and Ukrainian serviceman Taras Ostapchuk noted that russians have been increasing the range of robotic platforms on the battlefield for several months. At the same time, the Defense Forces of Ukraine have a qualitative advantage in this field.

Earlier Defense Express reported that russians had claimed they repaired T-90M Proryv tank in 4 weeks after 26 drone hits.
