The military aircraft likely crashed, according to Crimean Wind.
According to the source, a russian Su-30SM, along with a Su-35, was conducting Kh-31P missile launches at mainland Ukraine while flying over the sea north of Sevastopol.

"It is difficult to say what happened. It is possible that an F-16 engaged the aggressor, or the russian pilot decided to self-destruct by crashing into the Black Sea," reports the source.
The russian Su-30SM took off from the Saki airfield in Novofedorivka. Su-30SM fired 4 of its 6 available missiles before disappearing from radar screens.
Sources from Crimean Wind report that the search operation involved Mi-8 and Ka-27 helicopters.
In the area marked on the map, an oil slick about 3 km in diameter and aircraft debris, including a wing, were found.
