Commenting on the incident, the governor of Luhansk Oblast, Artem Lysohor, noted that it was probably the site where ammunition was stored. He also said that there used to be a military unit in the area where the explosion occurred. In Luhansk, traffic is blocked near Gorky Park, a popular recreational area for residents.
Lysohor emphasized that russian troops deliberately place weapons and depots in such areas without caring about the safety of residents. He also added that this incident will impact the front, as it will take time for russian occupiers to restore ammunition stocks and establish new logistics chains.
Earlier Defense Express reported that drones had attacked russian Special Forces University in Chechnya.
